The project at-hand is to design a bilingual “Welcome to the United States” guidebook and mobile application in English and Spanish. The guidebook will be intended for refugees and immigrants coming to the United States. For this project, the client is the Cultural Orientation Resource Center (COR), Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL). The COR is a government-funded program receiving assistance from the US Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. It focuses on refugee resettlement and integration and provides technical assistance in order to reassure refugee groups starting a new beginning in the United States.
